Delegating to AI while staying in control

Rules, approvals and confirmations: the foundations of operational delegation.

Make the limits explicit

Delegation needs understandable rules. Specify the decisions the operator can take, the information it should use and the cases that need a person. “Ask for approval above the agreed spending limit” is an instruction that can be tested.

Choose an owner for each exception

A guest locked out, a maintenance quote and a commercial request may have different contacts. Defining these before activation keeps every question from returning to the property manager by default.

Match confirmations to the work

Communicating a house rule may require a verified source. Confirming a transfer requires the agreed steps with the guest and provider. Marking an apartment ready requires confirmation from the team doing the work. Status should reflect what actually happened.

Use feedback to improve instructions

Exceptions show where a procedure is incomplete. Share concrete examples, clarify the rule and verify the change before extending autonomy. hostem works within your configured scope; new responsibilities are evaluated and activated together.

hostem is a digital operator for short-term rentals. Responsibilities are configured individually, with an initial setup fee and a subscription based on properties and delegated work.
